Focusing On the Correct Source
Are you aware of who is your source? Are you aware of whom you can turn to in a time of world crisis, as we are seeing even now? These are questions that you should never concern yourself with if you have embraced and received the King and His Kingdom. These concerns should not cause anxiety in your life if you embrace His Words.
Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?
“And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Your treasure should be in the Lord God's promises to those who read and live according to His written Word. Why? Because God can not lie. He is in no way like mankind. He will always keep His promise. Even when others want to destroy you. Read what God told Balaam the prophet, to tell Balak the king of Moab. Then Balak said to him, “Please come with me to another place from which you may see them; you shall see only the outer part of them, and shall not see them all; curse them for me from there.” So he brought him to the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.
And he said to Balak, “Stand here by your burnt offering while I meet the Lord over there.”
Then the Lord met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, “Go back to Balak, and thus you shall speak.” So he came to him, and there he was, standing by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab were with him. And Balak said to him, “What has the Lord spoken?”
Then he took up his oracle and said:
“Rise up, Balak, and hear! Listen to me, son of Zippor! “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it. “He has not observed iniquity in Jacob, Nor has He seen wickedness in Israel. The Lord his God is with him, And the shout of a King is among them. God brings them out of Egypt; He has strength like a wild ox. “For there is no sorcery against Jacob, Nor any divination against Israel. It now must be said of Jacob and of Israel, ‘Oh, what God has done!’ Look, a people rises like a lioness, And lifts itself up like a lion; It shall not lie down until it devours the prey, and drinks the blood of the slain.”
Then Balak said to Balaam, “Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all!” So Balaam answered and said to Balak, “Did I not tell you, saying, ‘All that the Lord speaks, that I must do’?”
The Lord God is our Source and Creator, whether we acknowledge it or not. Many of us focus on what we think we may have and when it all boils down to it, it is all because of the Creator of heaven and earth. No one created Him. For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself. Now that speaks volumes. We should get a clue! By the way, the character of the Lord God has not changed nor His promise to Abraham. Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
I declare that the ultimate authority and Source of all humanity is the authority of the Lord God, our Creator, as well as His principles and laws He has established concerning mankind. It is recorded in His Constitution. Anything that doesn't correspond to them, as reflecting their essence and spirit, is not the true authority. Opinions that don't correspond to the Lord God's original design and plan cannot be guaranteed. What individuals theorize concerning humanity and creation is not the question. The question really is what does God's Constitution have to say about it? His is the final Word.
“Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
