Everything That God Created Has Potential
Now I must reiterate, we are capable of much more than we are presently thinking, imagining, doing or being.
Question: Now the question comes to mind, What is Potential? Well, let me put it this way: Potential is the sum of who you are that you have yet to reveal. It is a deposit that waits to be released and maximized. Potential is reserved power, untapped strength, hidden talent, unexposed ability.
Focus Point: Keep in mind that God the creator created everything with potential of ability.
Constitutional Scripture: Genesis 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Read the whole first chapter of Genesis of the full account of creation. Each possessed the capability to be much more than they appeared to be at any one time. Each contained the seed from which future generations of plants, birds, fish and animals would come.
Focus Point: Keep in mind, everything was and is in God the Creator. God has within Him the potential for everything He made. Nothing exists that was not first in God. He pulled everything that He made out of Himself.
Focus Point: Before there was a creation, there was a Creator. Before anything was, there was God.
Constitutional Scripture: John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.
Please note: God pulled everything that He had made out of Himself.
Focus Point: Before there was a beginning, there was a beginning, there was God.
Focus Point: Keep in mind, when we read this part of the Constitution, John 1:2-3
(2) He was in the beginning with God
(3) All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
When we read this of God's characteristics, we can truly say that He is omnipotent. Now "omni" means "always" and "potent" means "full of power".
Constitutional Scripture: Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and the Omega. The Beginning and the End. The First and the Last.
Focus Point: Remember this: When God wanted to make plants, He spoke to the ground, because that is the material substance from which He wanted them to come.
Constitutional Scripture: Genesis 1:11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so.
Focus Point: When He commanded the animals to be created, God again spoke to the ground, He had planned for the animals to be made from the dirt.
Constitutional Scripture: Genesis 1:24 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was good.
Focus Point: Now fish came from the sea when God spoke to it.
Constitutional Scripture: Genesis 1:20 Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.”
