Dual Citizenship Pt 2
As I read God's Constitution with a kingdom mindset, my spirit leaps within me with joy. I am secure every day knowing that regardless of what goes on, Jesus is still King and Lord of this earth. Every citizen of the kingdom has the Holy Spirit residing within their mortal bodies.
Now Jesus stated in the Kingdom Constitution, that we weren't of this world. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Even though we are in a foreign territory, actually our government colony, our registration isn't here. When we say that our citizenship is in Heaven, it means that our registration isn't here. Our official documentation isn't here on planet earth. When we have experienced the new birth (born again) our names are written in Heaven's "official registry" as a valid confirmation that we are now citizens of Heaven, even though we still reside on this colony. So, even though we are physically away from the Kingdom "country" we are still citizens of the Kingdom. Remember what our Lord and King stated in the Constitution. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
Remember, when King Jesus stood before Pilate, the Roman governor of Judea, Pilate asked two questions and made one statement: Then Pilate said to them, “You take Him and judge Him according to your law.” Therefore the Jews said to him, “It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death,” But read what the King replied: Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” We as citizens of the Kingdom, never have to fight for it, because our Kingdom is not of this world. Christians fight for their religious beliefs. Citizens of the Kingdom stand on the Word of their King. We follow our King's example.
Please take note to both what Christ stated as well as what He didn't state. He stated "My Kingdom is not of this world" He didn't state "My Kingdom is not in this world", He stated "My Kingdom is from another place." He didn't state, "My Kingdom is not from this place". As an official representative of the emperor, Pilate possessed the king's authority in Judea. He was speaking as one king to another. Jesus acknowledged His kingship. Here's what transpired: Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
What was that truth? The truth that the Kingdom of Heaven had arrived; that is the only message Christ preached and taught. So, Jesus' Kingdom is in the world but not of it. All Kingdom citizens possess dual citizenship in heaven and on earth. This status will continue until the day when the present heaven and earth will pass away and the King recreates them both. There will be no more separation because the time will have fully come: And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. On that day the government of Heaven will exercise full dominion over the new earth under the co-regency of all Kingdom citizens.
John 15:19 Revelation 3:5 John 18: 31, 35, 36, 37 Revelation 21:3
