God Created You for Rulership, Not Ownership
Early one morning, as I was reading a book written by Dr. Munroe, I noticed something. I noticed that the word management begins with the three letter word M A N. Management begins with man. Through all my years of learning and college, it really never dawned on me.
As I study God's Word through a kingdom mindset, and not a religious mindset, I realize that God gave mankind the role of management. As I indicated earlier, God gave mankind rulership not ownership. He created everything and He owns all. Remember, God created the environment first, before He created man. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” God never gave dominion over another man. Remember, this is before the fall of man, before man disobeyed his Creator and Source.
Keep in mind, you are going to have to give an account to God of what you did with His money, His time, His gifts, His talents, His resources, the house He got for you, the apartment He enabled you to rent, the automobile you are using, etc. None of this is yours. Although you cannot claim ownership if you are the manager, your accountability comes with your responsibility to manager properly.
Don't claim to own anything. Remember the rich man: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.”’ But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ The Lord took his life the same night. He never even got to enjoy it. It was the same way with the company I once worked for. Several individuals died less than a month after they retired. Sad but true. Remember, it is required for you to finish God's purpose for your life. You will be held accountable.
