What is Your Conviction?
I have to share with you this one thought. There are many individuals who are not convinced of their purpose in this life. They haven't discovered who they really are. The only way they are going to discover that is by going to their Source. Once a leader discovers his personal gifting and leadership, it will ignite conviction in his heart. In the process of leadership development, conviction has a two fold connection. The first sense of the word is a belief in one's significance. Keep in mind, this is not just head knowledge. It is the certainty that you have something essential to contribute to humanity. It is 100% dedication to your purpose, which is stronger than any opposition you might encounter. As a leader, you must be convinced that you exist for a worthy reason and that you are able to accomplish what you were born to do.
Now the second sense of the word refers to conviction (plural), or deep held beliefs based on commitment to one's purpose on the earth. Remember, conviction gives you a sense of direction in life. You have to be convinced of your purpose. It guides your activities and give them meaning. Keep in mind, your convictions are instrumental to your character development. They lead you to become dedicated to specific principles or a code of ethics, by which you pledge to live as you carry out your purpose. In other words, you don't have the option to behave like other individuals.
As a leader and a kingdom citizen, I don't have the option to blow up or say what I would like. I choose to be guided by the Holy Spirit. He is my Helper and guide. Regardless of what goes on in your life, He will guide you to all truth. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose".
Romans 8:28
