Living by Faith Ensures Obedience to His Word
Kingdom dwellers have faith in the King's Word. Whether it is spoken or written. Their faith grows as they exercise it on a daily basis. True Kingdom citizens don't treat their faith in their king as a tool or a lucky charm. When they exercise their faith, it isn't like playing a slot machine in a casino, where if they somehow end up with the right combination of words or actions they win. Rather it is a relationship with an invisible king, but He is very much present. This King of ours has communicated liberally with His people, especially through His written Word. He has displayed His laws and His principles and has made them accessible to all who have eyes to see and ears to hear. We have to develop an appetite for reading, studying and living the principles of His laws. Remember what the King stated:
More than that, blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it~~Luke 11:28
Just another word of wisdom: In order for you to keep God's Word that is written in His Constitution you must first have faith in it. Your obedience to God's Word hinges on how much faith you have in it. Do you remember what Jesus stated when His mother and brothers tried to get to see Him?
"...My mother and My brothers are those who hear the Word of God and do it".~~Luke 8:21
God's Son, Jesus, who is our King, came to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. He did not confuse His listeners when He stated: But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. ~~Matthew 6:33 For a member of the family of the Kingdom what was truly worth seeking? Two things: The Kingdom itself and the righteousness that only comes from God.
