Living by Faith in His Word
Our lives must reflect the Word that resides in us. As you may or may not know, we live in a consumer driven culture and it is in a crisis all the time. This society around us is obsessed with things. People are perpetually tired and worn out, distracted and depressed, irritable and in a hurry. They suffer from anxiety and stress-induced illnesses and disease, and they most certainly treat each other poorly. If you have faith in the King's Word, you should not be worried concerning anything. Remember, fire and water can't occupy the same space at the same time. Jesus made this statement:
And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. ~~Luke 12:29
The Kingdom of God is not like that in the least. The resources we need are supposed to come to us in the natural course of living our lives according to God's design and intention, through obeying His Word. We should not seek the Kingdom of God because of its benefits. The benefits come to us as we seek the Kingdom. The provisions and resources that we need are not meant to become the objects of our faith in His Word. They are meant to be the by-products of our faith in Him. Remember, the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus was the Word made flesh.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. ~~John 1:14
Jesus the King, and His Word are One. They are all on the same page.
I and My Father are one. ~~John 10:30
Now what more do you need?
