We Are to Protect
Before I embraced the Kingdom concept, I was unaware of my true purpose for being on this planet called earth. All that I did was attend church and its meetings. Whether they were youth meetings or board meetings, it became boring fast. I felt that there was more to my life than that. During this time in my life, I felt unfulfilled. It was only when I relocated from my northern environment to a quiet city located in the south that I began to hear the voice of the King, my Lord. It was my solitude with His Word that caused me to pay attention to His will and purpose for my life even though it took nearly seven years for me to get a clue of what was going on in my life or I should say, what the King was showing me. What I am saying in essence to every man is this: A man should be complete in the King's Word before he considers getting married. God gave Adam the responsibility to protect and guard his environment and everything that was in it. Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. That meant that everything that was in Adam's presence was safe. Now, can that be said about you? Do you feel safe in obeying the Word of God? Are people safe in your presence? Do you safeguard their confidence, their trust, and their dignity no matter what? If you cannot be trusted to protect and honor the worth and personhood of another person, then my advice to you is this; you are not ready for marriage. Never allow your feelings to cloud your judgement. Use the Word of God as your point of reference.
