Change is Permanent
Are you aware that there is nothing as permanent as change? What a paradox! One thing that is always present on this earth is change. Nothing else can really be expected or guaranteed.
When Nicodemus came to the King at a late hour of the night seeking what the King had to offer, Jesus informed him that he had to go through a process of change.
Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God". Jesus the King was making Nicodemus aware that he has to go through a Kingdom process. Remember that change is continual. Our lives keep moving forward and the environment around us undergoes alteration all the time. Change doesn't stop when we sleep, when we take a vacation or when we are on our break at their place of employment. Change is ceaseless. The king was very stern, in fact, He broke it down for Nicodemus. Jesus answered, "Most assuredly I say to you unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit, is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again'. The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit." Jesus used the wind as an illustration of the work of the Holy Spirit. The Greek word translate Spirit also means "wind". As the wind seemingly blows where it wills, so the Holy Spirit sovereignly works. Likewise, no one knows the origin or destination of the wind, but everyone knows that it is there. The same is true of the Holy Spirit.
Always be prepared for change.
