Change Is Inevitable When Obeying the King's Word

As I have stated so many times, if you want to view change, hold up an earlier photo of yourself and then view yourself in a mirror. But I want to remind you that the Creator of the Heavens and Earth never changes. “For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob. The Lord God isn't only unchangeable, but He is eternal. God's Constitution states that the patriarch Abraham called on the eternal God. Then Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there called on the name of the Lord, the Everlasting God. Eternity isn't ruled by time. The Lord God exists outside of time, although He interacts with mankind and human affairs within the realm of the time. Our world functions in time because the Lord God created it that way. The purpose of time is clearly stated in God's Constitution of His creation of the world: Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years.
Now back to change. If you want to change the way you now think. Then, start filling your mind with other information that will change your thinking. From there, your thinking will cause your behavior to change. Once again it is the domino effect. Many men don't read, and fail to pick up a book from time to time to enlarge their vocabulary. It is sad, but true. Reading the right information will assist you in your intellect, thought patterns and behavior process; as well as the direction in which your life will go. But there are times in one's life that something will happen to cause you to change direction, especially if you are seeking God's direction. This is what happened to Saul while traveling on the road to persecute people.
Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”
And he said, “Who are You, Lord?”
Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”
So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”
Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one. Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.
My point is this: if you are truly seeking truth, He will present it to your understanding. Remember, the Lord knows all about you, regardless of what others may say about you. Peter is an excellent example of this. He was very outspoken, and made several mistakes, but King Jesus saw something great in him.
Now Peter sat outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came to him, saying, “You also were with Jesus of Galilee.” But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what you are saying.” And when he had gone out to the gateway, another girl saw him and said to those who were there, “This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth.” But again he denied with an oath, “I do not know the Man!”
And a little later those who stood by came up and said to Peter, “Surely you also are one of them, for your speech betrays you.” Then he began to curse and swear, saying, “I do not know the Man!”
Immediately a rooster crowed. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” So he went out and wept bitterly.
Through all of that, King Jesus restored and forgave Peter. So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”
He said to him, “Feed My lambs.”
He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?”
He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”
He said to him, “Tend My sheep.”
He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?”
And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.”
Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep. Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.” This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, “Follow Me.”
Remember, the Lord knows the condition of your heart. Jesus' last words to Peter in that conversation was "Follow Me". Read, study and meditate on His Word and your life will most definitely change.
