Believers Who Are Blinded, Distracted and Deceived Pt 2
The Kingdom of the Lord God has come to earth. Let all who will, turn from their disobedience (sin) and enter in.
That is the Gospel message Jesus the Christ preached and commissioned His followers to preach. The question is, what happened? Somewhere along the way, His message became distorted. Somewhere the church lost it's focus. Today, rarely will you hear the Kingdom message preached from the pulpit or taught in their weekly Bible study meetings. We've lost focus, preaching about aspects of Kingdom living, but hardly every about the Kingdom which the Lord Jesus instructed us to preach. Yes, healing, prosperity (in all areas, not only financially), favor, gifts of the Spirit, fruits of the Spirit are all attributes of life in the Kingdom, but they are secondary to the gospel of the Kingdom. Don't you find it strange? How did we get to the point of being so distracted from the Lord Jesus' instructions? Remember the old saying "putting the cart before the horse"? That's what believers and religious leaders have done. This is the Lord Jesus' instructions to us concerning our focus: Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. So, if we pursue the Kingdom of God and live righteously, we should never worry about our finances, a place to live, clothes, food, our health....ANYTHING you need. He's promised you will have all you need if you just diligently and consistently seek the Kingdom and His righteousness...above everything else in our life!
Another great distraction is that Satan has propagated the lie that there is more than one "race", dividing God's people. There is in reality only one race--the human race, mankind. Our Creator only created one race, but in that race there are many colors and cultures. He separated the people by way of language, not skin color. At one time all the people of the world spoke the same language and used the same words. As the people migrated to the east, they found a plain in the land of Babylonia and settled there.
They began saying to each other, “Let’s make bricks and harden them with fire.” (In this region bricks were used instead of stone, and tar was used for mortar.) Then they said, “Come, let’s build a great city for ourselves with a tower that reaches into the sky. This will make us famous and keep us from being scattered all over the world.”
But the Lord came down to look at the city and the tower the people were building. “Look!” he said. “The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them! Come, let’s go down and confuse the people with different languages. Then they won’t be able to understand each other.”
In that way, the Lord scattered them all over the world, and they stopped building the city. That is why the city was called Babel, because that is where the Lord confused the people with different languages. In this way he scattered them all over the world.
Keep in mind, you can have the same color of skin and yet have a totally different culture. Culture depends on how one is taught, educated and the environment in which they are raised. Language and communication is what separated the people of Babel, but if one has the same Spirit, it will bring you both together. There is a Kingdom culture and that culture draws us together. There is no division in the Kingdom of God. Read this statement by ambassador Paul: There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.
A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.
The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit. Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part.
There is no division nor deceit in the Kingdom, but in religion there is deceit, greed, division, control, manipulation, and plenty of distractions. Religion often keeps their people so busy "doing" with various events, committees, meetings and fund raisers that they don't have time to spend alone with God! Distractions! I have come to believe that when the Lord Jesus taught the people in parables, it was because there were so many distractions that only those who were truly hungry for His Kingdom would stay focused on His Words and the message behind it. We must come together in a meeting place with one mindset, not one with a religious mindset and another with a Kingdom mindset. We must be on the same level of understanding...like minded. Ambassador Paul made it clear when he made this statement: I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.
Those who are of a religious way of thinking are blinded to the Kingdom school of thought. The Lord Jesus was of a Kingdom school of thought because He lived in the Kingdom government and yet He was here on earth, living the Kingdom life. He demonstrated while here on earth what Kingdom living was all about. We may operate in the Kingdom as He did here on earth, with the power of the Holy Spirit (our Governor).
Remember, your faith in the King's Word is your greatest asset in the Kingdom.
