Being Obedient, Is Much More Important Than Sacrifice
Having a closer relationship with the Father God, is being obedient to His Word. God wants obedience to His Word in all you say and do. He made that perfectly clear in the Old Testament of the Constitution. If you take a minute to read Exodus 20, you will see that God created these laws to govern His people. These were the laws that His people, the children of Israel, were to live by. These weren't religious laws, but laws to keep order and righteousness. These were laws to govern a nation of people. These laws also reminded the people that He was their God.
Constitutional Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:1 Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the Lord your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to possess
Focus Point: When Jesus came on the scene He was obedient until the end of His life here on earth. After He finished speaking the Word to the devil in the wilderness, He started His assignment--teaching and preaching the Kingdom. He made aware to the world that the government of the Kingdom was here on earth. He was bold in speaking the Word of His Father.
Now if that be the case, what is our problem? I have never seen so many jelly-backboned believers in all my life. Maybe it is because they don't live a life worthy to speak of. They have very poor character. God wants Kingdom Citizens, not a religious group or organization who call themselves "Christians". He doesn't want churchgoers. He wants citizens in good standing, not good church folk. He wants obedient Believers in His Word.
Jesus put it this way:
Constitutional Scripture: Matthew 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22) Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23) And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
Now remember when I told you what the first thing Jesus did when Satan left Him in the wilderness? Well, Jesus pursued His purpose for being here. He taught and preached the Kingdom of Heaven.
Constitutional Scripture: Matthew 4:17, 23 From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." 23) And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.
Focus Point: Jesus even told His disciples what to preach and teach, because He knew there were other messages out there.
Constitutional Scripture: Matthew 10:5-10 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: "Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6) But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7) And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' 8) Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. 9) Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts, 10) nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.
Questions: My question to you is, are you being obedient to His message, which is our message to deliver to a dying world?
1) Do you have a passion for human beings or just for your culture or race?
2) Do you love all mankind? or...
3) Do you love animals more than some people?
4) Do you have a passion for souls to come into the Kingdom? or...
5) Is your concern for individuals to join your church?
Focus Point: Are you aware that while Jesus was walking the earth even to the days after He had risen, that He was still preaching and teaching the Kingdom of God?
Constitutional Scripture: Acts 1:3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

Preaching and teaching the Kingdom of Heaven should be our first priority--
to ourselves and especially to others.
But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness,
and all these things shall be added to you.
