The Original Kingdom Concept
Constitutional Scripture: Genesis 1:27-28 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Focus Point: Remember this, every person on earth, without exception, is seeking the kingdom. The Kingdom concept of government is far superior to any governmental system devised by man. The caveat, of course, is that such a kingdom is to be ruled by a righteous and benevolent king. Otherwise, a kingdom would be no better than any other governmental system.
Word definition: Caveat: 1) a legal notice given to a law officer or some legal authority not to do something until the individual giving notice can be heard. 2) a warning
Focus Point: Keep in mind, the inherent superiority of a kingdom over other systems of government is an especially difficult concept for many people in the West to grasp. Many of us in the West have never lived under a kingdom and thus know little concerning it or how it even operates. This difficulty is even more acute for citizens of the United States, whose nation was established in rebellion against a kingdom. Nevertheless, a kingdom that is ruled by a sovereign, righteous and benevolent king remains the best system of government. The reason is simple: The kingdom concept is of heavenly, not earthly, origin. Its appearance on the earth is due to another concept that originated in Heaven: the concept of colonization. To simplify this: Colonization is Heaven's system for earthly influence.
Questions:
1. Why do you think every person on earth seeks a kingdom? What does a kingdom offer that makes us desire it?
2. What makes a kingdom concept of government superior to other systems? What is the stipulation needed to make it superior? What are the characteristics you would see to identify a righteous and benevolent king?
3. What questions do you have about how kingdoms operate? How do your ideas about democracy conflict with the concept of a kingdom?
4. What are the benefits of a kingdom ruled by a righteous and benevolent king? In your opinion, are there ways in which this type of government could be superior to democracy?
5. How would you explain colonization as a system from Heaven to influence the earth? Who is to carry out this colonization? Where is colonization to be conducted? And why?
Focus Point: Here is some information for you to meditate on. God's original intent was to extend His heavenly government over the earth. His plan for accomplishing this was to establish a colony of Heaven on earth...By creative right, the earth is Heaven's colony. God gave us rulership, never ownership. Remember, we are merely aliens and stewards of God's property.
