The Impact of Your Source is the Foundation of Your Potential
You must embrace the fact that God has designed you to release and maximize your potential. But this is possible only when you are related to your Source. The question is why? Because the source of a product determines the components, essence and nature of the product. Apart from its source, a product cannot know what it is supposed to be or how it was designed to act. Your Source and Creator, established long before your birth who you are, how you were supposed to act and function, why He gave you life and what you needed to live and function fully and productively. apart from Him, you will never understand or release your potential, because your potential is wrapped up in Him.
Focus Point: When you accepted Jesus the Christ as your Lord and Savior, He gave you a new name; by the way, it wasn't "Christian". He said, "Now that your spirit is reconnected to My Spirit, I can work in you so that your behavior can catch up with your nature. Who you have been is not who you are". The Psalmist in the Constitution testified to this reality:
Constitutional Scripture: Psalm 82:6 I said, "You are gods, all of you are children of the Most High.
God designed : John 10:34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’?
Now keep in mind that it doesn't say we are gods because he is trying to elevate our status. He is stating a fact. Read how the writer in the Constitution amplifies this concept.
Constitutional Scripture: II Peter 1:3-4 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Now when God created human beings, His intent was that we should share His divine nature. That is still His intent. This is why Peter wrote in the Constitution to encourage us to live up to our divine nature, because if we operate according to God's nature, we will escape all the temptations and the pressures that come against us in our daily lives. Embracing the nature of God, frees us from the pressures of this world system. God designed us to be holy and good and forgiving, because they are characteristics of His nature and we share that nature. When we reconnect with God, we naturally have the power to be all that He is. Or shall I say, "all we can be".
Are you aware that Jesus was always in trouble with the religious authorities. The acts that He performed were natural acts. Not only was He the Son of the living God, He was a citizen of Heaven and the acts that He performed were all natural occurrences. He didn't keep all of the rules and the regulations by which the Jewish leaders judged spirituality; and yet He had the audacity to state that God the Father and He were One.
Jesus naturally lived from God's perspective. You are supposed to be naturally like your Source. God's commands do not require you to live supernaturally, but naturally. If you are a citizen in good standing, your natural mode of operation is the same as God's because you came out of Him, and the product always has the nature of its source. That is why God isn't impressed when you keep your body free from drugs and your mind free from impure thoughts, or when you give generously, or when you pray or fast. By the way, you are not earning any bonus points by doing those things. God expects you to act and think like He does because He is your Source and Creator and you are His child--Not a sinner saved by grace. Now I trust that you have a clue!
